Happy New Year! Let make 2014 a healthy year!

Happy New Year! Let make 2014 a healthy year.

OK, my vegan followers let talk about the last two important cause of belly fat:

Excess calories: Poor diet, we take in too much sugar, not enough fiber and a lot of saturated fat. Over the years we have made poor food choice, such as French Fries and soft drinks and decrease in consumption of fruits, vegetables. The environments has help with the increased calories in our diet,  the fast food restaurant and the supermarkets  stories  all offer variety of processed and convenience foods  which are the cause to excess calories and belly fat. One of the greatest contributions to excess calories is portion size.

Hormone excess estrogen: Have powerful influence on weight gain and belly fat, and the hormone products from fat cells play a role in the insulin resistance of obese individuals, insulin stores fat. Insulin is essentially a storage hormone that not only lowers blood sugar but also sends a powerful message to your fall cells-STORE FAT!  Our body isn’t designed to take in so much refined carbohydrates, once our bodies reach their capacity to use carbohydrates, they convert them into fat, which, couple with our sedentary lifestyle which is cause for belly fat.  What can you do to keep your hormone and insulin balance?

Combine carbohydrate with a protein at every meal and snack
Eat five to six small meals a per day
Replace one or two meals per day with a whey protein shake
Exercise regularly and include cardiovascular exercise and weights training

We’ll discuss insulin in great detail later this year, stay tune.

I’d like to challenge everyone to a 30 day 3 or 6 days a week work out and a 21 day detox.

I’ll be posting a weekly workouts and the 21 day detox juice and smoothie recipes right along with the food to eat for the detox.
