The
Thriving Vegan Story
The
Vegan life style was the best choice I have ever made for my mind, body, and
soul. This life style is all about business and it isn’t for everyone. This has
been a journey since 1990 and I’m still learning about the vegan lifestyle. The switch
from meat was easy because I wasn’t much of a beef, seafood or pork eater,
chicken mostly. Years ago I walked away from meat and processed food and became
a vegan. I’m inspired to help people change bad habits into healthy choices. My
passion is to see people embrace and enjoy a healthy life style with food and
physical workouts; my goal is to help others live their best life now with a
great experience.
This
lifestyle has made me better in multiple ways. One benefit being my glowing
skin with a healthy tone that I never had before, along with energy because I am feeding my cells food that it can
use, and my body functions are better than ever, especially my digestion. I have more energy than I know what to do
with, which makes it easier to exercise twice a day five days a week. This lifestyle has improved my quality of living;
I’m living an amazing, fulfilled and satisfying life. My body is powerful and
very rewarding because I am feeding my body a balance of plant based food, such
as: fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, whole grain, nuts, seeds legumes, and
tofu.
I
want everyone to experience these positive changes.
Here
are some transitioning to Vegan lifestyle tips:
Start slowly, not all at once: Eating rainbow fruits and vegetables provides
vitamins and nutrients for your body. Try them all at least once. Replace your milk with almond, coconut, hemp,
cashew or hazelnut milk.
Educate yourself with books, articles and documentaries
such as: Forks over Knives, Earthlings and Fast Food Nation, Eating
Animals. You are more likely to stick
with this lifestyle if you have a driving force.
Join a support group, to support your choice in a better
lifestyle. Be prepared to answer questions from others who are concerned. Don’t
let anyone manipulate or confuse you.
Protein and Vitamins: your protein will come from various
foods, such as: quinoa, tempeh, organic tofu, lentils, black beans, chickpeas,
hemp seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, kale, spinach, broccoli, peas, oats, potatoes
etc…and the list goes on!
Try new recipes. Buy a vegan cookbook, remember to cook
with whole foods and stay away from processed foods.
Allow your body to detox it may take several weeks or
months so nurture your body and you’ll reap the benefits from this
lifestyle. During this process you may feel crappy, but that’s your body trying to
flush out the built up toxins and chemicals …this is a good thing!!!
