Today’s podcast was freedom and so relatable. There
are so many of us that have had to re-learn to love ourselves after a divorce
or break-up.
How to Love and Accept Yourself after Divorce
Oh how I had to learn this! Divorce can be hard and take everything out
of you. We deal with the battle of having been made to feel unlovable and
unworthy after being rejected by the men who vowed to love us through,
sickness and health. It doesn’t matter what position you held or the power you
have in this world, you lose the security of marriage and the life you had. The
insecurity of being alone, blaming yourself for not being good enough or not doing
enough. Before you know it your healthy
has gone down and you have no desire to put on any clothes, or fix your hair, or
even brush your teeth. All of your strength is consumed in your pity party, not
in the opportunity for growth. Yes Growth!
Here is your opportunity to find that
person you lost in that marriage or become that person you always wanted to be.-
It starts with self-love. As painful as it may be, look at yourself in the mirror
and express love to yourself, ask the uncomfortable questions and be very honest
because this can lead to actualization.
Going through the process, you learn all you need to
do is fight for yourself and grow within the experience and your village will
be there to provide support on all levels.
